WYOMING DENTAL HYGIENISTS’ ASSOCIATION AWARD
Overview
The Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association Award will be presented to a second year student from each dental hygiene program in Wyoming. The students will be selected by a committee of WDHA member hygienists who have reviewed the applicants’ essays.
Qualifications- students interested in applying for WDHA Award must meet the following:
Must be a student member of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association
Must be a second year student in good standing in a Wyoming dental hygiene program at the time of application
Must plan to reside in Wyoming after graduation
Application Process- students interested in applying for the WDHA Award must submit the following items:
A completed application
A short typewritten essay on the selected topic
Applications and essay submitted to the current WDHA Award Committee members by posted due date
WDHA Award Committee members will select one application and essay from each hygiene program that best fulfills the selected criteria
Application, topic, criteria and award committee members, are posted on the wyomingdha.org website. Incomplete applications or applications that do not meet the posted criteria will be considered ineligible.
The Wyoming Dental Hygienist’s Award will be presented to the recipients at each program’s graduation ceremony as a $250 voucher for the following:
WDHA portion of ADHA membership $ 45.00
WDHA Annual session registration fee (September 2013) $ 100.00
WDHA Annual session hotel accommodations (September 2013) $ 105.00
