2007-2009 STRATEGIC PLAN
GOAL: Wyoming dental hygienists and dental hygiene students will understand the value of WDHA membership and choose to belong.
Objective: Foster a cooperative, respectful relationship with the dental hygiene community.
Strategies:
A. Continue to send Newsletter to Nonmembers and Students.
B. Assign WDHA members to personally contact potential members and personally invite them to the annual meeting or to become members.
C. Invite Dental hygiene students to Annual Meetings at a discounted fee.

GOAL: The dental hygiene profession in Wyoming will advance as a result of mandatory continuing education.
Objective: Work with WBDE to establish parameters for mandatory continuing education.
Strategies:
A. Write a letter to WBDE requesting the implementation of Mandatory continuing education requirements for Wyoming Dental Hygienist.
B. Continue to inform all hygienist on the development of Mandatory continuing education requirements.

GOAL: WDHA will be a fiscally sound, effectively governed organization.
Objective 1: Increase Constituent Fees Strategies: Inform members in summer Newsletter with a special insert.

A. Sheila Flynn will write an article on the reason’s why an increase for Membership Dues is necessary

Objective 2: Increase revenue through fundraising
Strategies: Plan fundraisers (i.e.: Folders for CE’s and silent auction)
Action Plan(s): Collect information on where one can obtain the CE Folder’s and how much the folders cost.
Objective 3: Improve communication in the association through the use of technology.
Strategies:
A. Give members, nonmembers, students the opportunity to obtain the newsletter via email
B. Maintain current information on Website.

Provide more educational opportunities utilizing technology.

Maintain current email addresses for WDHA members.
