Crystal Spring, RDH
District X Trustee
Crystal Spring, RDH, BSDH, LAP Crystal was born and raised in a small town on the Ft Peck Indian Reservation located in the North East corner of Montana. She graduated with an associates degree in dental hygiene from Sheridan College and a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Wyoming. Crystal has a limited access permit and works in public health settings as a clinical dental hygienist. She contracts with the Ft Peck tribes, working in school-based clinics, she also works in nursing homes and assisted living and last year cofounded a nonprofit (Smiles Across Montana) that sees students in school based mobile clinics. She has been practicing dental hygiene for over 20 years (general practice, periodontal offices and the last 4 years in public health). Growing up in an area of extreme poverty, having a brother with developmental disabilities and family living in nursing homes were all a catalyst of her passion for public health. She values ADHA and all that they do for the profession of dental hygiene and the enhancement of access to care across our nation. Crystal lives in Bozeman Montana with her husband of 20 years, Ty and their two boys Bode (16) and Rafe (12). She is a rodeo/roping mom and wife. Her boys keep her busy year-round with rodeo, basketball, skiing, boating and life. She is a “people person” and loves her people. She enjoys reading, running, dancing with her girlfriends and spending time with her “people”. Becoming the District X trustee has been an honor and she looks forward to the next two years on the BOT.
